My name is Oguh Jessica Fortune. Err… this is an about me page, but for some reasons, I do not have the right words to describe me. Oh! I do know I am 22 years old as at the time of writing this, first born of my family, a graduate of English and literary studies and, that’s all. Weird? I know! However, I would be lying if I said more, because I really am not sure of any other thing about me.
You are still curious, so, I will give you a breakdown of what I have been doing with my life up until now. Since graduating from university in 2017, I have worked as a personal assistant, social media and content manager, an on-air personality and most recently a writer. All seems like a lot but unlike most people, I still cannot decide on what I want to do with my life.
I have gone from thinking of myself as a lawyer, to PR personnel, to a media personality, to a digital marketer and God help me, I still do not know which it is. Hold on, just before you start thinking how crazy and confused I am (I am actually confused and a bit crazy I think), let me tell you about my baby.
I conceived a baby called ‘Twenty Somethings Rant’. Not your everyday baby but one in whom I am well pleased. This baby gives me so much joy, joy because it was born from my crazy and confused mind. This baby tells a story of Twenty Somethings in the 21st century.
The good, the bad, the joys, failures, obstacles, everything, without judgement, hear Twenty Somethings say them on ‘Twenty Somethings Rant the Podcast’. Hmm… for someone who is confused about her life, I have written a lot and I still have a lot to tell.
The good thing is, I have created this blog ‘Jessica Fortunes’ as my way of documenting the different stages of my life starting from now. Jessica Fortunes is my life, my story, my journey. I do hope you are able to share and learn from my experiences. More importantly, it shows that the journey to greatness is not a walk in the park.
Oh! Yeah! I said greatness. Surprisingly, I know I will be great.
For what? I still cannot figure, but I am excited to find out.
Enough of me please, tell me about you.
I am hoping we could become besties and travel this journey together.
